That finally the Church Cleaning Schedule is out? If you want to volunteer, you can still catch up. The next one is on Nov. 11, Monday, for Joseph Hall, etc. It has been 2 years since we had a general cleaning because people could not get together. So come and participate. We certainly need more hands, or you can donate cleaning materials. Get an application form at the Main Church magazine rack.

That Pope Francis declared September 5 to October 4 “Laudato Si’ Month”? This Encyclical “On Care for our Common Home” released in 2015, remains a necessity, an urgency, a great challenge for all nations. He invited Christians (who make up more than 25% of the world’s population) and non-Christians alike to participate in the “2021 Season of Creation” campaign. This has been renewed, by signing and promoting the "Healthy Planet, Healthy People" Petition, which will be presented to world leaders at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP26), scheduled to take place in Glasgow, Scotland November 11-12, 2021.

“Together let us pray and work for our common home in these times of grave planetary crisis.” He encourages everyone to question the way we live and to turn “towards lifestyles that are simpler and more respectful of the environment.” He urged all to take “decisive, urgent action to transform this crisis into an opportunity.” At St. Ignatius, we have not yet focused on this theme and how to concretize it in the parish, but it does not keep us from responding to what is asked of us, at individual or group levels, when we gather in the church. How about starting from better garbage/plastic management, more consciousness in the use of church facilities such as electricity and water, especially now that winter is approaching?

That there are changes to the new "Mass Ceremony and the 1st to 4th Canons"? A booklet in Japanese was published October 19, so we could learn and understand the changes in the formula for the implementation of the Mass based on the 3rd edition of the Roman Missal. It is meant to be implemented starting from the 1st Sunday of Advent next year. A must-have material for all believers participating in the Mass.

In his official Twitter page (Pope Francis @Pontifex 9), His Holiness wrote, “Let us #PrayTogether so that the reflections and exchanges of this Assembly might help us rediscover the joy of being the People of God who journey together, listening to everyone. #Synod #Listening Church Diocesan Level talks in Japanese are scheduled from October 2021 to March 2021 to deepen and understand its objectives.
