Christmas Bazaar 2018

First Sunday of Advent, Dec 2nd. St. Ignatius Church held a Christmas Bazaar that has provided a wonderful occasion for the different groups and communities to unite for a noble cause of helping those who have been affected by natural disasters here in Japan and abroad. We, the English-speaking community, were happy to support this cause in our small way and help our suffering brothers and sisters.

With smiles, we enthusiastically sold an assortment of homemade items such as sandwiches, baked goods, and hot macaroni. People must have liked and appreciated everything because everything was sold out before 1 p.m.

A big thank you to all the representatives of the ushers, lectors and readers, Eucharistic ministers and the English Center volunteer groups who were the main organizers of the International table, and most especially to Ms. Akiko Takagi, Bazaar chairperson, for making our work easy and joyful one. It was indeed fun working together and growing in our bonding as a parish community of St. Ignatius Church.
