Welcome to St. Ignatius Church:

 

Our warmest welcome to all those who worship with our parish community, whether after a long time or newly arrived. If you would like to register with St. Ignatius church, please come to the church office.

St. Ignatius Church, through John de Britto English Center, wants to reach out to help all members of the English-speaking Catholic community to grow in their faith life, in the best possible way. If you want to help St. Ignatius Church, come and visit the center for possibilities of collaboration. Thank you and God's blessings.

   

Rosary :

Every Sunday after the 12 PM Mass we pray the Holy Rosary in front of Our Lady's statue, to your right as you go out of the Main Chapel. You are most welcome!

Baptism: 

Please inquire about the requirements and schedule of baptism.

First Communion: 

Preparation class for First Communion is done at the Saturday School or at the Sunday School. Please contact the Church Reception Office for further information: (03) 3263-4584.

Please make arrangements early - at least 6 months before your wedding day. Contact the Church Reception Office: (03) 3263-4584

English Mass Overall Coordination: 

Every Sunday at 12:00 p.m. Choir practice from 11:00 a.m. in Room 401. Lectors & Readers, practice & prepare at 11:30 a.m. in the Sacristy. Volunteers, ushers, for noon Mass: 11:30 a.m. distribution of newsletters, children, seating, collection, posting notices. Altars boys & girls for 12:00 noon Mass come at 11:30am sharp to the Sacristy.

 

Volunteer:

Would you like to be a Lector, reader, choir member, usher, altar boy/girl? Or hand out the monthly bulletin? Please come to John De Britto English Center or call (03) 3263-4576.

Every third Sunday of the month from 1:45 pm in Room 301 of Arrupe Hall, the English-speaking community gathers to plan and think of better ways to serve St. Ignatius Church. You are most welcome! To inquire, please contact: John De Britto English Center: (03) 3263-4576

 

Faith Sharing Group: 

Faith Sharing Group: We are interested in renewing our faith, and how to create good spiritual practice in our lives. We are also interested in deepening our understanding of the liturgy, ritual and teaching of the Church.

If you are interested in joining this group to explore these or any other related issues, please join us every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month at 2:00 pm in 3rd floor of Kibe Hall, Room 310. Catholic Faith Formation Class for Adults:

Adult Catholics who wish to deepen their understanding of the Faith are welcome to attend. Please join us, every first Sunday of the month in room 310- Kibe Hall from 1:45 pm.

Liturgy of the Word for Children “Angels”:

Every 1st Sunday of the Month; 12 noon English Mass for Children

A group called "Angels" will gather the children ages 6-12 in Xavier Chapel just after the opening prayer of the Mass. The "Angels" will provide stories of the Gospel reading in language that is understood by the children. Then, the "Angels" will lead the children back to the main chapel for a blessing with holy water by the priest during the offertory. After the blessing, the children go back to their families to continue the Mass.
