Dear Parishioners of St. Ignatius Church,

Peace be with you!

The 7th wave of the corona pandemic is still continuing. Some of our priests were also infected, but fortunately with mild symptoms only. Although we cannot see a downward trend in the number of infected people, some of the currently existing preventive measures in our parish will be relaxed from the month of September. Please note the following changes from September:

  1. Sundays
    • Sunday Mass schedule will be resumed to normal schedule from September 10(Sat), 2022.

      • The Second English Mass on Sept 4 (Sun) will be at 5 pm. It will be returned to 4:30 pm from Sept 10 onward.
  2. Weekdays
    • There will be no weekday mass or Benediction service in the month of September. The Saturday 6 pm Mass will be the vigil mass for Sunday. The weekday masses will be resumed only after the current pandemic situation is improved.
  3. Mass for the Elderly
    • Every first Saturday 12 pm mass for the Elderly people is cancelled until further notice. (This includes the already scheduled September 3(Sat) Mass)
  4. Confession
    • Confessions will be resumed from September 3(Sat), 2022. The confession room is situated at third floor in parish office building (Room Number 307)
  5. Priestly Ordinations
    • Deacon Ochi Naoki, SJ and Deacon Nguyen Minh Toan, SJ will be ordained priests on September 17(Sat) at 2 pm in the main church. The ordination ceremony and the first mass will be live-streamed. Please keep praying for both of them as they are preparing for their ordination.

Depending on the infection status of coronavirus pandemic, sudden changes in Mass timings and other services are expected. Please keep updated with our website. Let us continue to follow the basic infectious disease countermeasures and pray that everyone may remain in good health.
